[It's the middle of summer and they're stuck house sitting. Their dad is away for the whole month.... Not really that unusual, he's always away on business. And their mom has been gone for a long while now. So it's just him, in charge of taking care of things, and his brother.

And the heat. Noel flops on the couch next to his little brother and groans, passing over a soda. It's already evening but the heat just doesn't let up. It really saps the strength out of Noel, but what it also does is... Well.

It's difficult being a teenager and gay and alone in a house with your brother who is actually really hot and you absolutely should not find attractive because he's your brother, and so as usual Noel slides his eyes away from his brother quickly after passing him the soda. Dinner was about half an hour ago so there's nothing left to do but sort of melt together in this heat.]

It's too hot to live. Revive me when it's November.

[nuzzles him helplessly, hips stuttering out of sync a little, and somewhere in that mess of emotion it almost looks like Rowan is about to cry, but instead he rasps out:]

I'm close. Don't stop.

[plotluck]

I wasn't planning to. [It's murmured, his hand already slick with Rowan's pre, which does make jerking him off easier, the slide of skin over skin smooth and a little slippery, with just enough friction.] Come for me, Rowan.

[and he does, crying out loud and shameless as he spills between them, back arching so he's pressing his face to Noel's shoulder as he shakes his way through it.]

[God that's fucking sexy, he's going to hear that noise in every wet dream from now to the end of time. He strokes Rowan through it, then wraps his arms around him, turned on but also really content to just hold his brother against him, pet his hair and listen to his heartbeat and breathing.]

[as he winds down, he snuggles closer, perfectly happy to ignore the mess between them and savor this sweet dream. and for now? for now that's fine.

but if too long passes he's going to start wondering.]

[It's a gross mess but honestly sort of satisfying in its own way. The lull gives him time to try to collect the scattered mess of his thoughts too and that is direly needed because holy shit. Holy shit. How does he really process this. Logically, socially, this is extremely fucked up. He should feel really guilty about it. Maybe he will later but in the afterglow he really just... Feels relieved and happy that Rowan wants him too, that he's not alone with his fucked up feelings for his brother.] So... Uh. How long...?

[amurdermostfowl]

[kind of. lifts his head to look at Noel, carefully trying to read him. the unreasonably complicated expression is back, full of too much emotion and too much wariness to quite be readable in return.]

...Always. Do me a favor and pinch me?

[plotluck]

...Always, huh?

[Of course he takes that to mean you know, a human perspective of always. Not that he can disagree since as far as he can remember he's been too invested in Rowan and then as they hit puberty that investment got... less innocent.

But he reaches up and pinches Rowan's cheek, obliging.]

You aren't hallucinating. Or I am too.

[look he's pretty good at making ancient immortal statements that can be construed to be normal human statements, his sense of humor is here for that shit.

Rowan looks at him for a long few moments, very seriously, which is probably kind of funny when his cheek is being pinched, and then he opens his fucking mouth.]

Then I should probably actually pick up those groceries before the store closes.

[plotluck]

We'll get pizza. [He tightens his arm around the small of Rowan's back because really!!]

[but if i go to the grocery store i can have a panic attack about how i've screwed the pooch on this life and you don't have to watch it.

just sort of nods though.]

Sounds good.

[plotluck]

...We need to talk about this anyway, right? [Yeah no escaping there Rowan sorry. Noel lifts a hand to push his hair back from his face, feeling sweaty and starting to feel a bit gross too, as things get sticky and dry.] Let's clean up. [He's the older one(ha) so it's his job to take charge and figure this out.]

[he is and has always been perfectly content to let Noel big brother it up. makes life easier for him. he tries to roll off of his brother, though, trusting the arm around his back to let him loose so he can sit up and they can be less gross.

but also he senses an opportunity for sass.]

Now will you share the damned shower?

[because this is better than engaging with the idea of actually discussing all this]

[plotluck]

[He shoves Rowan a bit as he gets up, tossing his shorts in the hamper as too gross to try putting back on and stripping his shirt as likewise, whatever, not like being naked matters now.] Yeah yeah.

[amurdermostfowl]

[ditching his own clothes in much the same manner, absolutely dumping them in Noel's hamper because making Noel do his laundry sounds great.]

C'mon then.

[plotluck]

Who died and made you boss?

[But he is definitely heading for the shower without actually complaining about the clothes or the bossiness.]

Only history will tell.

[follows on his heels casually, like this is all fine and normal]

[plotluck]

[That's just his brother's normal weird responses so he doesn't pay any mind as he turns the shower on and climbs in, doesn't matter that it's cold, cold is nice right now.]

Hey pass me the soap.

[amurdermostfowl]

Yeah, yeah.

[Sidling in with him and offering him the soap, but he's also notably back to his personal bubble maintenance body language, keeping a little space between them.]

[plotluck]

[He isn't sure what to do with that. Maybe that's just how Rowan is when they're not... You know. Or maybe it's just... Awkwardness? This is really new and weird and... Okay they definitely need to talk but he'll leave the little personal space bubble be for now, soaping himself up and handing the bar to his brother as he rinses off.]

What kind of pizza do you want?

Sausage and black olive sound good?

[washing himself as well, casual and clinical.]

[plotluck]

Sounds fine. [He steps out, snagging a towel and drying off, picking one off the rack to hold out to Rowan as he finishes.]

[this atmosphere is killer... dries off, too, and wraps the towel around his hips.]

[plotluck]

[The poor pizza delivery guy. But whatever Noel heads back to his room to get his phone, putting in their order and then, you know, looking to make sure Rowan actually followed him.]

[rowan is following him like the most uncomfortable kitten trying to act like he's totally comfortable, really, for sure]
