GAY ANGELS

[It's the middle of summer and they're stuck house sitting. Their dad is away for the whole month.... Not really that unusual, he's always away on business. And their mom has been gone for a long while now. So it's just him, in charge of taking care of things, and his brother.

And the heat. Noel flops on the couch next to his little brother and groans, passing over a soda. It's already evening but the heat just doesn't let up. It really saps the strength out of Noel, but what it also does is... Well.

It's difficult being a teenager and gay and alone in a house with your brother who is actually really hot and you absolutely should not find attractive because he's your brother, and so as usual Noel slides his eyes away from his brother quickly after passing him the soda. Dinner was about half an hour ago so there's nothing left to do but sort of melt together in this heat.]

It's too hot to live. Revive me when it's November.

Absolutely not. If you get to die for the summer, so do I. You won't go down alone.

[He pauses for effect, sipping his soda, stripped down to loose shorts and half melted on the couch.]

And are you telling me to wake you up when September ends?

[They've been at this whole dating thing for a few weeks now, and it's become commonplace for them to share a bed. This usually isn't a problem, but it's a bit of an obstacle for Rowan when it comes to one of his rarer but more vital tasks. He settles for trying to act as normal as much as possible, wearing out his brother with some rigorous sex, struggling to stay awake himself, then slipping out of bed when he thinks Noel is solidly asleep.

Of course, making that plan in the first place means that he's been a little tense and distractable for the past day, in the way he never has needed to be before, since slipping away was much easier before. It was probably noticeable.

He dresses quietly in the bedroom they aren't sharing, in dark clothes, almost like a thief, then snags a soda from the fridge for energy before heading out into the night. He doesn't stray far, instead settling into surrounding the house in a latticework of... threads of light that he's carefully weaving with his fingers, spooling it out with precision from a seemingly endless supply wrapped in a glowing pattern around his fingers. Basically, it's something that's easy to find in the dark.]
